Brunswick Exploration (TSXV: BRW) is reporting this morning that it has intersected several intervals of lithium bearing pegmatite at its Anatacau West project in the Eeyou Istchee-James Bay Region of Quebec. Full assays are yet to be received by the company.

The drill program undertaken by Brunswick included 18 drill holes conducted over an aggregate 3,712 metres, which targeted extensions of mineralized pegmatites. Two spodumene-bearing pegmatites were identified under the exploration program with a strike length in excess of 250 metres.

Preliminary highlights from the program include:

  • AW-23-01: 26.5 metres of 15-20% visible spodumene from 57.1 metres depth
  • AW-23-05: 18.2 metres of 15-20% visible spodumene from 178.95 metres depth
  • AW-23-17: 32.9 metres of 15-20% visible spodumene from 35.7 metres depth
  • AW-23-18: 19.6 metres of 15-20% visible spodumene from 9.0 metres depth

“We are pleased that we have successfully identified significant spodumene mineralization in our maiden drilling campaign. Several lithium pegmatite dykes were intersected that remain open at depth and along strike to the south,” commented Killian Charles, CEO of Brunswick.

No further drilling is reportedly planned at this time for the property, with the firm electing to first evaluate its portfolio of properties across the country for potential before committing to further exploration. The company has indicated it currently plans to evaluate the next steps at the project after summer prospecting is complete.

Brunswick Exploration last traded at $0.92 on the TSX Venture.
