After completing a ground electromagnetic (EM) survey earlier this year, Warriedar Resources has flown a second ground EM survey at its Golden Range and Fields Find Projects in WA – and flagged seven high priority drill targets for its efforts.

The goal of EM surveying is to identify conductors below the ground, which may be caused by base metal bearing massive sulphides, and where gold is associated with massive sulphides.

The company flagged over 14 high priority EM anomalies, seven of which identified confined bedrock conductors that are consistent with accumulations of massive sulphides.

At Golden Range, three drill targets in order of priority include: T32 –on the main mineralised shear (the Mougooderra Shear) just north of the existing Keronima Mineral Resource, T42, and T43.

At Fields Find, the four drill targets include A1-35, A1-36, A2-08 – Proximal to (along trend from) the historic Warriedar copper mine and the Falcon copper and nickel results, and A2-18 – also proximal to the historic Warriedar copper mine and the Falcon copper and nickel results.

Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) plans to drill test the seven conductors in H2 CY2023.

Drilling to kick off at Fields Find

This drilling will represent the first direct targeting of high conductance, discrete, massive sulphide accumulations within the Fields Find Project area.

“Warriedar is excited to have narrowed down the broader list of AEM targets to seven well constrained and clearly discrete bedrock conductors that are well defined geometrically,” the company said.

“Further, the fact that the historic Warriedar copper mine and target A2-08 are approximately 1km apart on the same structure, and that target A2-18 is proximal to the fault bearing > 1% copper and > 4% nickel is additionally supportive to the overall prospectivity of these targets.

“Warriedar looks forward to drilling these targets during H2 CY2023.”

Ground EM surveying over airborne EM targets is to continue through H2 CY2023, building a further pipeline of drill-ready base metal targets.
