Heritage Mining (CSE: HML) has mobilized its exploration teams to a second project, just a week after resuming exploration at its Drayton – Black Lake project.

Exploration has begun at the Contact Bay Property, which is found 12 kilometres south southwest of Dryden, Ontario. The property historically produced gold between 1916 and 1918 at the Old Rognon/Wachman Mine, which produced 22.2 ounces of gold and 0.5 ounces of silver from 49 tons milled.

That mine is said to consist of a shaft to a depth of 106 feet, with a total of 307 feet of lateral development across two levels. Historical grab samples from the region contain up to 6.5% copper and 3.5% nickel, while the southeast portion of the property has seen platinum and palladium in concentrations of up to 280 ppb.

To explore the property, Heritage Mining will be conducting systematic exploration based on previously conducted geophysical work, including airborne EM and mag surveys, The data is set to be used for target generation, with exploration work, including drilling, set to target copper, nickel and PGE.

“Heritage has a wholly owned property which includes the past producing Old Rognon/Wachman Mine in the northeastern portion of the property and anomalous Copper, Nickle and PGE from historical drilling and surface sampling on the southeast portion. We look forward to developing targets to a drill ready status in short order on this highly prospective wholly owned land package in a systematic manner,” stated Peter Schloo, CEO of Heritage Mining.

Heritage Mining last traded at $0.075 on the CSE.
