Surge Battery Metals Intersects 4,084 ppm Lithium Over 30.9 Metres

Surge Battery Metals (TSXV: NILI) this morning published the final results from its 2023 drill program at its Nevada North lithium project.

Highlights from the results include:

  • NN2307: 3,268 ppm Li over 21.3 metres, 2,361 ppm Li over 18.3 metres, with the total sequence intersecting 2,533 ppm Li over 50.3 metres
  • NN2310: 4,084 ppm Li over 30.9 metres, with the total sequence intersecting 3,220 ppm Li over 47.7 metres
  • NN2311: 3,722 ppm Li over 35.0 metres, 2,825 ppm Li over 3.0 metres, with the total sequence intersecting 3,427 ppm Li over 46.6 metres
  • NN2312: 1,480 ppm over 3.7 metres

The results saw holes NN2307 and NN2310 confirm that lithium mineralization extends 600 metres to the west of drilling that was conducted in 2022. Hole NN2312 meanwhile was drilled to the north, with the company identifying a new fault that exists, which exists between hole NN2312 and NN2303.

“Today’s results mark the end of a successful 2023 exploration program at the NNLP. Our geophysics and drilling programs have greatly expanded the 2022 mineralized footprint and have continually produced near-surface composite grades of >3,000ppm Li. The deeper drilling has validated our interpretations and has generated additional near-surface targets to the east,” commented Surge CEO Greg Reimer.

The company meanwhile intends to use the drill data to establish a maiden mineral resource estimate, which is slated to come out in the first quarter of 2024.
