The latest results are in for Canada Nickel’s (TSXV: CNC) exploration work conducted at the Midlothian Property in Ontario. The results consists of the final three drill results from a previously conducted four hole drill program.
Highlights from the results include:
- MID23-02: 0.29% nickel, 0.14% chromium, 4.79% iron over 393.3 metres
- MID23-03: 0.29% nickel, 0.12% chromium, 4.70% iron over 394.9 metres
- MID23-04: 0.26% nickel, 0.15% chromium, 4.77% iron over 392.0 metres
“These outstanding Midlothian results, with all holes showing good nickel grades across long mineralized intervals of multi-hundred metres that start less than ten metres from surface, confirm Midlothian as a significant discovery. Midlothian is one of our ten properties with a target geophysical footprint larger than Crawford and these latest results further confirm the success of our geophysical targeting approach,” commented Mark Selby, CEO of Canada Nickel.
Mineralization at Midlothian is found along a 2 kilometre strike length, which has a width of roughly 250 metres. The geophysical footprint of the target currently being explored is said to have a larger footprint than the firms flagship Crawford Nickel project, with the four holes conducted under the winter program notably terminating in mineralization.

The brucite content found within mineralization is said to have averaged 7.2%, which is nearly four times higher than the average 1.9% figure found at Crawford. The finding is significant given that brucite is the key mineral for the carbon storage process being developed by Canada Nickel.
Canada Nickel last traded at $1.25 on the TSX Venture.
